So working on de-algaeing my neighbors rather disgusting pool. She isn't very knowledgable about pools however is attempting to learn. I digress to the problem. Yesterday she turned off the pump (only switch is the breaker) and set it up for backwashing the sand filter. When she went to turn it on, the pump cranked up for a few seconds and cut off. I went over today, reset it for normal filtering and its the same thing. No suction is ever applied, and it doesn't take much more than about 3-5 seconds to cut off, tripping the breaker. I opened up the back to check the wiring connections, everything is well connected and isn't corroded or any of the sort. I tested the capacitor with a multimeter today, that was good and it steadily went up. Not really sure of what else to try or do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It's a Hayward Super Pump C48K2N143B1. It's nearly brand new, however has been operating without issue for nearly two months now.
