I have a 35000 gallon in ground pool that was refinished in 2007 with Aquaguard 5001 Primer and then surface top-coated (sprayed application) with Aquaguard 5000 White Epoxy? surface. The pool structure is a concrete and when resurfaced in 2007 was sandblasted first and prepared correctly for application of the Aquaguard products.
The pool surface has remained beautiful, white, and smooth until this year. I now have etching in a number of smaller areas and "minute" product cracking (not flaking) along the water lines, and some areas of the shallower depths. We are thinking about having the same product top coated (but rolled on this time). Although the produt manufacturer of the Aquaguard has been relatively helpful and the product boasts "commercial" surface coating with a 15 year warranty he is referring us back to the original company which applied the product for any warranty issues. We have loved this pool surface and just wanted to know if anyone has experience with this product?
We are happy to pay for the labor (by the same reputable refinisher's) but think we should get the product at least at a pro-rated discount from Aquaguard. Anyone have experience with this type of problem on their Aquaguard refinished pool?
