We moved in to a house with a pool literally less then two weeks ago and I am struggling to get the water to clear up. I bought chlorine tablets, shock, ph+, ph-, a test kit. When I test the water the chlorine is either good or high and the ph has been low. When we moved in the water was fine and now it is a cloudy green. I have vacuumed the pool 3 times and that helps the bottom. I have shocked it twice and I keep trying to add ph+ to get it to go up with no success. I wonder if i need to add more than a bag of shock. My ph just won't go up either. I was running the filter for a few days straight and that wasn't doing anything. So now I am currently running the filter during the day and turning it off at night. Last night I added the rest of my ph+ and then vacuumed it later in the night. I was going to try shocking it like crazy tonight, but I just feel like I am getting no where. I am clueless when it comes to pools, but didn't know I was going to struggle so much so soon.
