As I understand it, CYA Remover is probably melamine which is the same ingredient as the the reagent in the CYA test kit. It basically doses up your whole pool like a giant CYA test, precipitates out the CYA so it can be collected by your filter.
Did a search on cyanuric acid remover, could not find anything on this forum.
Curious if anyone has used this to reduce over-stabilization and what its ingredients are?
1-gallon is $50 and capable of removing 30-50 ppm of cyanuric acid in 10,000 gallons of water.
Notice most people here drain and refill to reduce cya.
Thanks

It is melamine and will turn your pool into a milky mess until it is all filtered out. Also, 1 gal usually only removes about 20 ppm CYA from 10000 gal of water....do the math, 20000 gal pool, 100 ppm CYA, target CYA 40 ppm, need to remove about 60 ppm, price $300 plus shipping! It is not cost effective and it makes the pool so cloudy which is why it is not used very often. Drain and refill is easier, cheaper, and faster!
