the pool pump has a leak. I noticed it about 4 hours after the plumbing crew left. It's right where two pump housings bolt together. The pump is a Pentair IntelliFlo VS 3050. I emailed the PB Ops Manager who replied "We’ll have the Manufacturer’s (Pentair) Warranty station check it out." So I thought about it some more and am now thinking since I haven't paid a dime for this phase yet (plumbing, steel, elect, shotcrete) that I actually don't have a warranty issue, but the PB has a warranty issue. More to the point, the PB has an out of box failure.

So should I sit back and let this be a warranty issue or demand a replacement pump? I'm not really sure what my options are but it feels wrong to allow a new pump be serviced for a failure that occurred prior to my ownership.

Thanks.
