I just took over this situation. CL 3.0, PH 7.4, TA 10, CH 1500+. Vinyl pool bottom 50M commercial olympic swimming pool. Competitions on regular basis. The CH is obviously way to high considering the pool absorbs none of it cause its vinyl. Needs desperate water change. never gonna happen until maybe off season but TA is unacceptably low as well. OK question. Can I add bicarb to raise ALK without clouding water due to the CH being so high? or do I need to do water change first? Thanks please people with commercial experience reply.
