    Default Bleach instead of shock

I have an oval 18x36 vinyl pool, how much bleach should I use to raise free chlorine up from zero and should I dilute it before adding?

1 gallon of bleach will add exactly the same amount of FC to 10,000 gallons of water as its concentration. 6% adds 6ppm.

Just adjust accordingly based on the concentration and volume of water. 1 cubic foot contains 7.48 gallons.
