Bought a house that has a 24' above ground circular pool with vinyl siding and 54" walls. Pool company where purchases bases calculations on 13,600 gallons. The filter is a cartridge. Currently using the Frog Leap system but am getting tired of constantly chasing numbers. I took a water sample to Ace Hardware and they told me copper was high. So here are my ?'s:
1/ I just spent a fortune on the mineral PAC, etc. is it in my best interest to change now?
2/ if I do change to bbb, will the higher copper amounts come down or do I need to add mineral remover?
3/ is there a calculator to help me gauge how much and how often I need to add bleach, etc.
4/ if we switch, will we notice a big difference in chlorine levels?
I did order a test kit k2006, which I will have tomorrow.
The guy at the pool store said not to use baking soda in the pool bc he has seen it cake up the filter cartridge?
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!
