We have something similar. Ours is a fluffy seed that blows in from some kind of tree somewhere in the neighborhood. Maybe that's it??/

They do look like some fluffy seed or something from nearby trees. I was hoping they weren't some sort of calcium or other substance. I'm in Brooklyn and there's tons of trees/flowers nearby which might be causing it.
