I am located in Minneapolis MN and have had an in-ground pool for 10 years. This is my current list of installed equipment.

Pool size - 20x40 - Shallow end 3ft, Deep end 8ft - I have always estimated 32,000 gallons
Hayward Swimclear with CX880XRE cartridges
Hayward SP3400VSP
Hayward Goldline Aqua Rite SWG
Hayward H250FDN Heater
Polaris 380 with Booster pump
Auto Cover
I have 2 skimmers plus drain and three returns. all are 1.5" pipe and probably average 50ft of head

Besides keeping my PH and Alkalinity levels, the only other chemicals I use on a weekly basis to maintain my pool are Natural Chemistry Phos Free and Metal Free. I do not use stabilizer with the swg. Feel free to comment on my use (or non-use) of chemicals as well.

The pool has been opened for two weeks and I have it clear. I am not currently heating it and I have not checked chemical levels since initial opening.

This year I replaced a Hayward SP4007x10NS with the SP3400VS. The PSI on my filter used to run about 12 PSI with the old pump. With the 3400 running at 2000 RPM I currently have 6 PSI on the filter.

I currently run the pump 24x7 at 2000 RPM and I am having a hard time determining if this will be OK (or needed) to maintain proper turnover. So any suggestions around running the pump would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Steve
