    Default Robo Kleen

Just wanted to give everyone an update. I had posted some time ago inquiring about vacuums for an AG 18'. After shopping around for sometime I decided to go with the Robo Kleen because I found it online for only $219.95 and that was significantly cheaper than the Pool Buster CG.

So far I have been very impressed with the quality. The Robo Kleen is better designed and built than most anything I can remember buying lately. The filter is large easy to get to and seems to be made of material that nothing sticks to. I know there has been problems with them in the past, and the salesman was upfront about that, but the salesmen assurd me they had been redesigned and they had sold 3,000 this year and only had two with any problems which where taken car of by the manufacture. I will post if I have any problems.

I bought it from realpooldeals.com and they where great to deal with. Besides having the lowest price I could find and a great website they where very fast, I recieved it just three days after placing my order. They even talked my out spending more money on a different brand of automatic that I had planned on purchasing.

    That's great news to hear!

I also did a lot of research about this and purchased a Robo Kleen from an E-bay retailer...sorry can't remember the name....I got lucky and got it for $212.50 + $20 for freight. It shipped yesterday and will hopefully have it tomorrow or Thursday. I'll post back once I get it in action.

I've only used mine about 4 times in the month I've had it (water is warming up so only I have been in) but have been very happy. Picked mine up for a little more than the rest of you at costco.com.

I did in fact get my Robo Kleen on Thursday. Threw it in Saturday morning and I have to say that I am impressed. It did a fabulous job! We have a 24' round and it didn't quite get up the coved corners at the bottom of the pool, but after a quck brushing the pool was sparkling better than ever. Sure beats the manual vaccuming 3-4 days a week. As long as we aren't bitten by the fuse problems from last year, I highly recommend the Robo-Kleen and highly recommend the E-Bay store I got it from. Although, if we wouldn't have gotten it for the price I wanted at the auction, I too would have gone the Costco route that others have.

    News flash!
My Robokleen has become just a Robo. It quit sucking. The good news is that Dolphin has been great about it, no questions, no accusations about miss-use; they are just sending me a new one, and realpooldeals.com has been great as well. They told me that if I had any problems in dealing with the manufacture to let them know and they would take care of it them self’s and send me a new one. So I guess all I can say is that at the present time their customer service and their product doesn't suck. I can't wait till the new one gets here because while it worked my pool never looked better, and it couldn’t have been easier to use.

My roboclean is still working so far. Going to close soon so it has a few more chances to fail before spring. So far I am very pleased after manually cleaning year one and using the robo this year.

I have now had my roboclean for about 2 weeks. At this point I love it. It is great. I hope it will continue to run without problems. I love that I can take the filter off and rinse all the junk out of it every time I clean it. So it saves my filter alot of work. Plus I just put it in the pool and it does it's thing. It automtically turns off in 2 hours if I have to go somewhere. I'm really impressed and I think my inlaws are getting one too after seeing the good results that I have had. Sharon

The good ole Robo Kleen. Looked like a great product two years ago. My wife and I purchased one and took it home. This thing was great! Picked up anything and everything. It just couldn't get any better. But...... it quit working after a few weeks. We took it back and got another one. Again we were thrilled and loved using it. Two months later this one died as well.

Pool season was close to being over so we returned it and did not worry about it. Saw Robo Kleen last year at Costco. Everyone said they had improved and all the problems were solved. So here we go again buying anotehr Robo Kleen. Well guess what? One month after we have it, the darn thing dies again!!!!!

After spending hours on the phone with the good folks with Robo Kleen we just figured it wasn't in the cards for us to own one of these things. When it worked it was great! Tons better than the Pool Rover. That thing was useless.

One last thing. If you get a Robo Kleen be prepared. When you take it out of the pool this monster is like picking up a ton of rocks! Its very heavy. Being in the pool makes it a little easier to get out of the pool.

We wish Robo Kleen had worked for us. Its a great idea.

Do you have anything now that your using. I hope my experience will be different. I to have a 33 ft. above ground pool and it can be a chore to clean out leaves. Did you ever see about the fuse that is suppose to be in the cleaner that will tend to blow? Thanks for your reply, Sharon
