You will need about 3 or 4 lbs. I use anywhere from 1 to 2 in 16,500 gal. It is ok to turn the pump off and walk around the pool, dropping the ascorbic acid down the sides of the pool. Once it is all dissolved, you can put your pump back on and let it filter. Let it filter 24/7. I would start with 3 lbs, and then if all the stain isn't gone in 1 hour walk around and put the other pound in where you still see the stain.
