I recently purchased a home with an in ground pool. It is an older cement with tile version. I purchased the house in January, so pool was covered (not very well) and frozen all winter. I have never owned a pool and this will be my first summer with it. We have opened the pool, removed a ton of leaves and from a distance right now the pool looks pretty good. Up close however it is cloudy. The water tests good, pH is 7.8, Alkalinity is 85 and chlorine is between 5-10 ( its high because we have just shocked it). We used a clarifier and then vacuumed and vacuumed some more. We have back flushed the sand filter. Don't know what to do next. I saw another post from 2012 that was almost the exact same issue, practically word for word, someone responded to the poster with questions, but poster did not respond, so a resolution was not posted. Any ideas would be appreciated!
Thanks
Ronnie
