After I'm done, I set it back to 50/50 and let the water mix. The next day I test and adjust the pool water chemistry as I normally would.
The pH and TA may be off in the spa water but it's been through the filter a lot more than the rest of the pool water. I consider it a wash.
Thanks. agree that running the IC40 is probably not a good idea. Even my PB told me that the spa can get overly chlorinated with long run times since it's such a small volume of water. I may just bump up the FC prior to use and then shutoff the IC.
One of my many to-do's is to run the spa without heat to see how quickly I can drop the TA using the acid-aeration method. I'd like to lower the TA and get the pH down a bit prior to using it as I don't want my high CH water to scale.
