Hello All ,
I have a steel above ground pool that im replacing the liner this season do age. Is this repairable with a steel patch.
Im skeptical because I have two kids and im afraid of the pool gushing out from the bottom which can be dangerous with people in the pool. Im a little on the anxious side so im looking for some pro's input if a steel patch will work.
some key points
1 pool and pump are almost 10 years old (JW Pool)
2 looks like the begining and end of track butted where the leak was. also was some clips (footing)there for the track
3. is it ok to have a gap in the track?
4 I really dont want to buy a new pool but is this a safe spot to patch
5 most important thing is the hole is in front of the support beam which im assuming will work to my favor
here is a link to pics
i posted many pics so you can see the overall condition of pool

i was hoping to cut a 5x5 piece of glavanized steel and tuck in in the track over the hole and jb weld over the existing hole
