Bringing new well on line at vacation rental cabin. Hot tub filled (deep well water), water is crystal clear, then immediately turns yellow brown when shock is added. Water test results: Cl 0, Cu 0, N, NO3 5ppm, N, NO2 0, Fe 0, ph 7.3.

    Thanks for any help.

Not sure what is going on. What is in the "shock" because it could be anything. That is why we say "shock" is a verb, not a noun.
What are the N tests? Nitrogen? Why test for that?
If your "shock" is a chlorine additive, it sure sounds like hard water with metals in it.
