I have been studying the BBB method and have started applying the principals. Currently my pool is full of algae from traveling and the frustration of not being able to depend on the pool guy. I have decided to take care of my oasis (pond) myself.

My pool is 20'x40" in ground and vinyl. Sand Filter, Hayward Pump

I have polaris pump PB4-60 that is leaking and is making grinding noise. I believe it may be the impeller or bearings. Are these pump easy to repair?
