    Default SaVi LED vs. ColorLogic

    Hello all,

I was just about to get the ColorLogic LED pool light when I found out about a new LED put out by supervision called the SaVi LED Pool Light. It is supposed to be the brightest LED available. Has anyone seen this light or heard about it? I am putting in a 16 x 40 fiberglass pool (rectangle, white) and really didnt want to go with more than one light. From what I have heard the ColorLogic might not be up to the task.... any input about one colorlogic doing the job would be appreciated

    thanks,
    Scott

I'm looking at LED also. Did you make a decision? Is one light going to be enough?

Does anyone have either one of these systems to help us determine the brightest and most colorful?

I recently bought the SAM light since it is generally considered the brightest option for color pool lighting, and it's a good amount of light for our pool (15x30 inground, 8' deep). Some might suggest 2 SAMs, but for our tastes, one is fine. From my understanding, the Hayward ColorLogic and the Savi models (both LED lights) offer less actual light than the SAM (dual Halogen with output of 300W), though I haven't had the other two installed to compare to.

If it helps, I looked into the Savi Supervision LED briefly, but this post killed any interest for me (poor cust svc & faulty lights- a bad combo).
    Good luck.

I have 2 color logics in the pool and one in the spa. We have a dolphin blue (light blue) mini pebble finish. The LED's are definately not as bright as a 500W standard pool light. The colors are nice, I like the deep blue and the slow color wash options. They are bright enough IMO to see at night in the pool but it would be nicer if they were a little brighter.

I don't know anything about the SaVi so I can't comment on it, but if it's brighter than the colorlogics and has similar capabilities I would probably go that way assuming it's a quality light.

good luck, let us know how it works out.

I have the Polaris D-Lite in our pool and spa. These light are really mood lighting and work best when these are the only lights on outside. I am pleased with the D-light. The pool builder had the light installed so it shined on the wall diagonally to it, I thought it should have been directed to the far end of the pool but was told you want to bounce the light off a wall for best results. Is this correct?
