Backwash Valve Leaking

I've found the forum very informative and decided I would go ahead and register.
I hadn't really planned on posting, I just wanted to search for info on backwash valves. Guess I'll log back out. :-)

My system appears to be leaking thru the center of the backwash valve. The backwash valve has been difficult to open and close for quite some time. My valve doesn't look like the ones I find online when I search for Pentair FNSP60F backwash valve. Mine doesn't have a threaded top...

Is that a DE filter?
