Going back in the water after supershock?

How does the water look? Having a CC reading of 1.5ppm is high. Just to verify that you are running the CC test correctly, can you list the steps you did to get that reading?

I test FC first; fill to 10ml line;
add 2 dippers of r-0870
add r-0871 dropwise; (took 16 drops to turn clear) multiplied by .5 which gave me 8 for fc

then added 5 drops of r-0003;
added r-0871 dropwise; (took 3 drops, possibly 2 since it is hard to tell if its completely clear) multiplied by .5 which gave me 1.5 for cc

You are doing the test correctly. Though your water may appear clear, if you have a CC reading of 1.5ppm, (anything over 0.5), then you need to shock the pool. With a CYA of 130, your shock level is going to be 25ppm. You want to keep your chlorine at shock level until three criteria are met:

1) You lose no more than 1ppm of FC from sundown one evening to within one hour of sunrise the next morning
2) You have no greater than 0.5ppm of CC
3) You have no signs of algae

At that point, keep the chlorine high for one additional day and then let it drift back down and keep it between 8-15 ALL the time.
