Question The Use of Chlorinator pucks

I posted a thred during the weekend concerning "How Much Bleach According to the Ben's Best Guide Chart?" Got a couple great responses. My next question is while I am doing this cleaning of the pool, can I still use chlorine pucks in the chlorinator?

Thank you in advance for your response(s).

I looked at your other thread. You can't tell how much CYA you have from a test strip. The strip test for CYA is not reliable. That said, I wouldn't add any trichlor pucks to the chorinator until you get the K-2006 and find the pool's CYA level.

If you cannot get the K-2006 you can get the HTH 6-way drop test kit at Walmart. its CYA test is the same as the K2006's

Some stores even sell a stand-alone black dot CYA test kit that works on the same principle with the same reagent.
