Hi and welcome to the Pool Forum!
I am going to recommend that you do a couple of things. All of them will make your pool care much easier.
-- Invest in a good test kit. The test kit that we think is by far the best is the Taylor K2006 or 2006C (better buy). Not available locally but you can get it through this link that takes you to Amazon: http://pool9.net/tk/
-- Read a lot of posts here on the forum and also over on our sister website www.poolsolutions.com
-- Answer a few questions for me:
1) Is this a freshly filled pool or has it been up and running for awhile?
2) What all have you added to the water thus far?
3) How does the water look?
4) Is your fill water city water or well water?
5) What kind and size filter do you have?
6) What size (hp) pump?
(Until your registration is completed, you won't be able to see the rest of the forum nor follow links while you are logged in. So, copy those links and paste them into a browser window after you log out.)
Glad to have you join us!
