    Default New Booster Pump Leak

    Hey Everybody,
I just bought a new booster pump for the polaris.

I installed it relatively successfully, but I've still got a drip leak where the plastic fitting screws into the front of the pump.

I put teflon tape on it and screwed it in tight...but still the drip.

Am I supposed to do anything else? Put any other sealant on it?

Should I buy a new fitting...or reinstall with more teflon tape?

    Thanks for any suggestions.

    Hi, BC,

You've probably fixed it by now by following the common sense things you mentioned.

I'd do just like you.....retape it with teflon first, then get a new fixture if it leaks still.

I usually put about three wraps of teflon on a plastic fitting. I've always wondered if that was the correct amount but I've had pretty good success to this point so I've never changed it.
