Hi Mr/Mrs Admin,
Would it be possible to give me permission to attach a photo of my timer setup?
We've tried a couple things but cannot get it to work. I'm not sure I can adequately describe it in words.
Thanks in advance!

You can use Flickr, Photobucket, Picasa, etc and use thebutton to link to this thread.
We've tried a couple combinations but the timer is not working... Please see the pictures. The power is coming from the right side in this case and the pump is to the left (opposite of the diagram that comes with the timer which I think is contributing to our confused state).
Do you have a voltmeter or multimeter? When you attach the wires with the incoming power and turn that breaker on, you should have 220v-240v when you put one probe on the spot labeled (1) Line and the other on (3) Line.
I haven't commented in this thread because for some reason I can't see the pictures. I do want to point out that asking a very basic question about pool electric is an indicator that you may not have skills and understanding to safely do this yourself.
I'll be blunt. A wiring mistake could kill a swimmer. I don't want you to have that on your conscience.
If you're not sure then please find a qualified licensed electrician with pool experience.
