High iron content and brown water. Added bleach and white socks over strainer and water inlet. Running pump over night.

There's no easy way to handle iron in a pool, especially one that small.
Do you have any kind of system to control iron in the water in your house? Can you use that to fill the pool slowly, over a week's time?

Good morning Doc,
No, we don't have a system in our house, though we do need one. We will live with the colored water. A good bit of it has been filtered or vacuumed out.
Chemicals are all in acceptable ranges according to my test strips. I know you don't recommend them, but I am using them for the time being. Here is my question: A 2 lb container of Bioguard Off Season Shock, containing 58.2% sodium dichloro-s-triazinetrione came with my pool from the previous owner. Can I use small quantities of that in place of, or in addition to, bleach? Also, since using one dose of it, I now have an acceptable level of CYA which was zero before. Is that telling me that my Bioguard OSS contains CYA? What else is in the OSS that makes up the other 41.8%?
Thanks,
Holly
