Hey folks,

New pool owner in the Tri-Cities of Washington here. No real questions just yet. The extent of my water chemistry knowledge has revolved around fish tanks, both fresh and salt.....reef, planted, you name it. I am currently trying to get my head wrapped around the balance of the water, and how the various elements affect each other. I really do not want to chase ph and such if I can help it.....

Anywho....

I have a nifty little 18' x 48" Intex pool with the various stock components. I was thinking of upgrading to the sand filter but I want to do more research and make sure it is a good decision.....
