Had the leak detection people out as I had a small leak in pool. Found out it was a leal around the skimmer face. I asked if they are going to fix it and they would send me a bid....no word asked my pool store if its a big deal they said no and a serviceman would call. I am very handy and don't see the big deal. Do I just lower the water about 6 inches below the skimmer and remove the plate, re silicone and reassemble ? Is there a rubble gasket needed between the two? Cant understand pool people why cant they just say no to fixing. I was told let a pool company do it as if they break a screw its on them. Whadda think folks Thanks Dave G.
