I only trust the k-2006 titration is better for me
You don't need to test for borates. The only other thing that you are not testing for that you might want to know is your calcium hardness level occasionally if you are using cal-hypo or have hard water.
Fiberglass pool watermom I only wondered as I read borates help with algae which is not a problem really. I'm always on the lookout for algae prevention and since the forum and calculator have a place for it. Sounded like a hassle like 20 boxes of mule team. Thanks for responding Dave G

If you do want to add borates to your pool as an algae preventative like some do, that is fine. You would need to get a test kit that can measure for it and can do so on the test kit page linked here:> http://pool9.net/tk/
