Default Cleaning the deck around the pool

I want to wash the concrete decking+coping around my concrete pool. What is recommended tto do this that is Ok if I get it into the pool. I was thinking of using liquid dish cleaner. Is it OK if that gets into the pool? If not whats the best thing to use? My coping and deck has alot of dirt from the construction and I just want to clean it up for the season.

    Thanks

My pool builder's concrete sub actually used liquid dish detergent on the coping to keep the concrete from sticking to the part that's supposed to show when they were pouring my deck this past April. There were a few bubbles that formed in the water when they went to wash it off, but they didn't stay in the water long...water looked "normal" again within an hour or so. I don't know if that helps or not, but that's my experience with liquid dish detergent and pool water.

I like to use a powerwasher 1-2x a season, staying well above the surface to not damage it. It doesn't take much pressure to remove dirt. While I have never tried it, if I were to use a detergent, I would start with dishwasher detergent in a bucket of water to avoid the bubbles. It just seems like too much work to me to wash the entire deck by hand.

    IMHO,

Liquid dish cleaner (like Dawn, Joy, etc.) makes LOTS of bubbles, but a dishwasher detergent (like Cascade) does not. I would not use anything near my pool that makes lots of bubbles if it me. Just my opinion.

Could you use one of the HE laundry detergents like Tide HE? They are formulated for use in the front loaders and have a very low suds factor although they are supposed to clean just as well as the bubbly stuff.

I treid the power washer, its great at removing heavy dirt but the light stuff needs soap. I will try a dish detergent and let you all know how it goes.
