Default Zodiac Nature2 Proffessional IG Sanitizer

WHats up with this? THey installed one wiht my new pool which has SWG. Anyone know if this things does anything helpful. Anyone got one that they can give me some feedback on? Looks like its gonna cost me about $90 per season to keep working. Is it worth it?

    Any info would be helpful.

    John,
Do a search for Nature 2 and you will find LOTS of posts on this topic. Everyone seems to agree that it does nothing that can't be accomplished with BBB or SWG except drain your wallet. There is "some" truth behind silver/copper ion systems for sanitizing water but the pool enviornment is not ideal for this. Scrap the N2 (you can leave the housing with no cartridge or remove) and use the savings on beers!

Mine also shipped with this unit, since it had a cartrige, I installed it innitially, yes, I was able to keep my cl down to 1ppm all summer, but for teh money you drop on a cartrige, I found that running 3 ppm in my pool is still a huge money savings in comparison and it made no difference in the way the water "feels" "smells" or "looks".
Chuck it, ebay the unit for half of original price and buy more beer.

Thank you. Thats about what I expected. Its not harmful to use is it? Cause they are giving me the cartridge for free (the first one). Does it put metals into the water?

it puts small amounts of copper and silver in the water and the refill cartridges are expensive. This is why so many dealers push them...they want the repeat business to drain your wallet!

Thank you. I guess I will jsut use the cartridge they gave me for this year and next year just leave the unit empty.

Thanks again and btw I did read the long thread in the other topic area about this. Seems like it dies nothing lol. The pool guy today told me that it acts like a "brita" filter and makes the water absolutely pure as it passes through the housing. He even told me it takes metal out of the water. LOL.

That is just plain wrong. I would talk to the pool guy's boss after downloading the info off the the Nature2 website that tells it puts metals into the water so you can show him! That guy needs to be fired! If he is the owner I would run and not walk to get a different pool guy that knows what he is doing!
