Default New To Site: Question About Shock Powder switching to Liquid Shock

I am curious, I have a 24 ft round above ground pool, vinyl liner, I have currently been using a powder Aqua Chem Xtra blue shock, can I just switch to liquid pool shock or is there a time period where I should wait? I am not the greatest pool chemist, lol and thought I may be easier to ask here! Thanks in advance!

Do you have a drops-based test kit? If so what type. Post some numbers. What are the ingredients in the shock. Does it mention copper?

Aqua Chem's Xtra Blue is one of the worst chemical hobo soup products out there, with 6 different listed ingredients. You've been adding both copper and zinc to the water -- no telling what will happen if you suddenly start adding bleach.

You may want to consider continuing for the season with the Xtra BLue, and then dumping and replacing the water this fall.

Thank you for reply! I come from a small town, with not many pool chemical options, and when we set ours up we went with what the local stores had -- lol and I noticed the farm store had liquid shock, and was contemplating the change! I will wait it out!
