Hey guys,

Well I have had a pool for the last 4 years. I am/was the guy that goes to Leslies and gets his water checked about 10 times a year and buys chemicals there. I know my pool pretty well, but not as good as I should. I just guessed and threw in the chemicals I had each year without really checking and knowing what I should actually be putting in.

I have been reading this forum constantly the last 4 days after an algae outbreak that I cant get ahead of. Its not that bad, but its there. Thought I had it and turned off the pumps after the pool looked perfect and 12 hours later the yellowish film was back on the bottom.

I have been told 4 different things each day for leslies and I have not followed anything they said. Anyways I am on a new mission to figure out what I should be really doing at all times from my new test kit.

I would like to get on the BBB method, but have to get the test kit down.

I just bought the taylor 2006 and have all kinds of questions. After the 4th I plan to read about figuring out the PPM and test kit. I tried playing around with it today and I was lost, just going off the top print out on the bottom of the lid.

Anyways I have a in ground pool, 30,000 gallons.

Have a great 4th, everyone!
