    Cool Daily Chlorine amount

Hello Everyone! Just a quick question from a very pleased BBB method user. All of my levels are good thanks to this method. Saves me lots and lots of money at the pool stores. I usually have to add 1 jug of the 8.25% bleach (I think it is the 121oz. size-supposed to be concentrated) to the pool about every other day. Is this normal or is this more often than you are adding? I like to keep the chlorine between 4 and 6. Pool is in direct sunlight all day long. Hope everyone is enjoying there pool as much as I am. Now that it has FINALLY stopped raining here.

When my pool pump was out of commission last season I manually chlorinated with bleach (normally the SWCG takes care of chlorine). If I remember correctly I was adding a 121oz jug of 8.25% bleach at least every other day to maintain about 6ppm in my 20k gal pool. So what your adding seems normal to me. Hopefully others with more experience will chime in as well.

Last time I checked (a couple of weeks ago) it was around 50. Had to order more reagent which should arrive tomorrow. May have to raise it d/t all of the rain we have had. Have had to lower the water level several times.

Tested the CYA tonight. It was 30. I guess I will raise it some. I thought between 50 and 60. What is your opinion?

I have 13000 gallons and add 64 oz every other day. But bather load is pretty low and CYA is about 70. I try to keep my FC/CYA ratio at about 1:10
