Default I've got no problems yet... want to be ready.

I have one of those 15' AG Dolphino pools that came with a tiny pump/filter. After spending over $150 a year on crappy paper filters I went to a used Hayward pump and sand filter.I realize it's a bit of over kill but it will hopefully be usable when I upgrade when the kids get bigger. Pump is 2600 and the filter is a 244T I believe.

Since the dolphinos in/outs are around 1 1/4 I have 3' of 1 1/2 connected to 3' of 1 1/4 going to the pool. The pump reads 22...(too high)

    Pump [1 1/2]-----------[ 1 1/4]-------------| Pool In - skimmer attachment

1 1/2 to 1 1/2 proper "shark" hose between pump and filter

    Filter [1 1/2]-----------[ 1 1/4]--------------| Pool Out

Question: Should I keep this "working" solution or change it? There are compression connectors I could use by cutting 1 1/2 holes out of the side of the pool. It scares me that these could leak but the 18' pools use thse fine.

Going 1 1/2 right to the 1 1/4 pool connector is do-able but a soft connector hard to clamp down.

    ANy help would be appreciated.
