+ rough vinyl walls are often 'sand algae' residue => http://pool9.net/algae-sand/
+ if your water is green . . . you have to kill the algae first. With a CYA=80, you'll need to raise your chlorine to at least 15 ppm to be effective.
+ Get a cheap OTO / phenol red drops kit ASAP; order a K2006 => http://pool9.net/tk/
+ If your water is gray, and the algae is dead, but is still 'hanging around', you probably have an AG pool with pump / filter problems. We sometimes see this on IG pools, but it's common on AG pools. Fill out the pool equipment form, and I'll take a look.
