Default Mess? (from Intex copper electrodes)

In the Intex type pool section I read:

" just turn it down. AND . . . DISCONNECT the power to the copper electrodes! Those are a MESS."

in reference a person wanting to buy a new Krystal Clear SWG.

I have that same one that Pool Doc said this about and I wanted some clarification about the statement since I have this product and think highly of it.

My signature will be updated soon. Thanks!

Most people think that it is chlorine that stains things and turns blonde hair green but that is not true. It is COPPER! So, we advise people to disconnect the copper electrode on their unit. (Unless you are a fan of green hair! )

Welcome to the Pool Forum, by the way!
