    Question Intex SF20110 suction

I have tried looking for an answer to this question but have not been able to find one.

I turned on my pump and the water coming into the pool seems fine, it's the suction from the other valve that is very weak. What kind of suction should you be able to feel? This would be the one that is supposed to be taking water from the pool and filtering it into the filter.

Shouldn't we have the same volume of water leaving the pool as returning to the pool? If the return is fine doesn't the oulet have to be fine too?

Outlets are designed to "feel" like it has low flow. This to prevent entrapment.

Okay, when the pump is on I have a good flow of water coming into the pool. I felt the skimmer and it just didn't have much of a suction so I thought that something was wrong.

Thank you for your help. Still learning about pools and all it takes to maintain them.

The learning curve is most steep at the beginning. You're doing great. You will soon get more familiar with your pool's behavior and things will become second nature to you!
