Default summer escape pool filter to an Intex pool filter

Hi, We have a summer escape pool (a cheap type of pool from our local store). We just converted the original filter to a Intex pool filter. Does anyone know anything about this...In the skimmer, we have a screen on the bottom of it. Do we remove the screen each time we vacuum or can we leave it out? Maria

Maria, I am not familiar with the Intex filters but we do have quite a few members who should be. In fact, Dave, who is on our support team may be able to answer your question. I'm going to shoot him an email and ask him to see if he can help. Sit tight. He'll be around.

Generally, any sort of strainer should stay in place especially when vacuuming. Specifically, I'll need to know more about the skimmer and vacuum as well as pump / filter. Intex makes a number of different filters and I presume Summer Escapes also makes a wide range of equipment.

Would you please provide all the specifics you can including a description of the vacuum, it's attachment, and the skimmer as well as type and possibly model of pump / filter?

    You are welcome.

Did you see Dave's post above? (post #3 in this thread)

He asked you some questions. If you can take a minute to reply to them, he may have some additional suggestions for you.
