    Default Lower PH?

    My chlorine level was low and my PH was a bit high. I added some bleach but what should i add to lower the PH?

    Muriatic acid, diluted in some water.

    Add the acid in small doses - let circulate for about an hour and test again. Use protective gear when using it - like gloves, eye protection, and don't inhale it - I think I burned off all my nose hairs the first time I opened a bottle

    If you download mwsmith2's BleachCalc it will compute how much acid to add.

    Hardware store, Lowe's etc.. Paint department or concrete section.

    Sometimes it's actully cheaper at the pool store. check for prices. and make sure you have REAL muratic acid. some places are now selling a muriatic acid substitute!
