    Sharon,

I got my pool (18'x 52) from rec warehouse. I found out today from the installer that you can certainly use any 3 inch chlorine tablet in the baquapure feeder, as long as you don't start one and mix in the other with out doing the complete conversion. There is a removable plastic screen with a long tube inside the feeder, that is used for the baquapure tablets. You simply take that out and fill it with 3 inch stabilized cl tablets, (brand of your choice), and your off and running with chlorine. I'm still trying to find a complete guide the chlorine use, but pretty much have the basics down for now.

I purchased mine from Rec Warehouse here in Florida. So far I'm pleased. I just don't want any baqua junk. Sharon

I too have a bacquapure "water polishing" system just like yours. My problem is that i do not understand the dial adjustment system. There is a dark blue dial right in front of the chlorinator (aka "polisher") ....is there any way to tell hi from lo? I generally just leave it half way opne, so i know it is at least on "medium". LOL! I also did not know about removing the plastic grid at the bottom of the chlorinator. Thanks for that info. I have been using chlorine since the second summer i had my pool. Bacquacil was awful, and EXPENSIVE too! AND it made my skin itch!

    Hello Farmgirl

I used the chlorinator for the chlorine pucks to get the stabilizer up. It has stayed where it needs to be so far. This is my first year opening my pool after winter so it is still all new to me. The pool is still covered because all our trees are just comming out and they drop alot of stuff at first. The dial in front of my chlorinator has little arrows to indicate which way is open and which way is closed. Hope you have a great time with your pool. Sharon

Thanks for your response.....my chlorinator has "minimum" and "maximum" printed on it. self explanatory, right? not!!! the dial has three "prongs" on it. which one indicates the marker for setting the dial? i assume the middle one? once i determine which one it is, i'm putting red paint on it!!!! My goal is to learn half as much as most people on this forum know! LOL! Thank u for your help.

Yours sounds just like mine. It is very confusing. I just turned it wide open. It took me a while to figure out the screen thing so my pucks at first lasted months and my stabilizer took a long time to build up. What type pool do you have? Do you have a 1/2 hp and 2 and a 1/2 hp. pump?

yep, sure do! 2 speed pump, everything is blue. About the "screen thing".....we are supposed to remove the grid at the bottom of the feeder, right? What about the little white tube taht is on the right hand side? I tried to move it tonight, but it would not budge! Should I just remove the grid? It has little legs that fit down into the bottom of the feeder. Am i way off base here? LOVE to figure this thing out, but the darned equipment came with NO user's instructions......rec warehouse virginia beach, va....24 ft ag round. How about yours? Bet your water is warmer than mine...you lucky Floridian!!! LOL!

Just be careful to keep a good eye on your CYA levels--if it's wide open it won't take very long for them to climb...
