Default Semi In Ground Intex 26' Questions

    In south texas,

have dug hole, put pool in and set up, have approx. 2-3 feet clearance around pool. question regarding retaining walls: do I have to have one, or could I just fill in with sand?

I plan on building a wood 'box' around the pump/filters, and building a deck around pool.

Any thoughts, ideas or suggestions? Thanks!

The framework on Intex pools is NOT designed for ground contact; it's just painted steel. I don't believe the tubes are painted on the interior either. You might could get away with direct contact for a year or two -- if you didn't drain the pool -- but probably not longer than that, unless you are in one of the very dry parts of Texas.
