I think you have to be advanced to a higher level before Ben makes the search option available.

But you can learn a lot by reading the stickied threads in many of our forums, which cover a broad range of topics.

Then there's also our sister site, Poolsolutions.com which is filled with lots of great info for pool owners looking to save money and time keeping their pool clean.

If you have exactly 4' of water in your pool, you have 10,363 gallons. More if it's higher, less if it's lower. Every inch of water above that is 216 gallons more. But, for estimating chemicals, you can use 10,000 or 11,000 pretty much equally.

10,000 gallons has the GREAT feature that one gallon of bleach adds exactly its strength to your pool. For example, a gallon of 6% bleach will add 6ppm of free chlorine. A gallon of 8.25% will add 8.25ppm of FC. A gallon of economy 2.7% will only add 2.7ppm...and so on.

Use the Google search in either my or PoolDoc's signatures. That works a lot better than the search feature that is part of the forum software since it will search all of the forum and also PoolSolutions. Until your registration is completed, you will have to log out first to be able to see the rest of the forum, however.

    Welcome to the Pool Forum!
