I'm not sure that cheap OTO kits do all that. I looked for one before buying the FAS-DPD Taylor kit. It was not cheap, ~$65 from intheswim with a coupon.
A cheapish ($15-$20) OTO test kit that will do FC, TC, PH, Alk and CYA?
I want one of Ben's kits, but I get the feeling from his posts that he'd rather not have new orders until he get's things figured out, which is understandable.
The Walmart kit doesn't do FC. The in the swim kit doesn't do CYA.
Is there one out there that will do all these?
I run low CYA and FC (3-5) so an OTO kit should be fine, for now.

Outside of Philadelphia, PA
18' x 40' IG - 22K gallons
Sylvan Gunite Pool (1979)
Plaster re-done (1997)
48 Sq Ft Hayward D.E. Filter (2003)
1.5 hp Hayward Super Pump (2006)
That's what I'm finding. I'm about the cry uncle
I would rather have Ben's and see him get the money, so I DON'T want to order a full taylor kit then start over next year with Ben's.
I guess 6-12-06 isn't that far off, I'll see what Ben has to say then and hopefull order one.
I don't think there is one that will accurately test for CC.

I have a Taylor K-2006 and it does the CC.

OTO will not test for FC, plain and simple (at least not accurately). You can get an inexpendive FC (DPD)and pH test kit from Lamotte for around $12.Taylor makes one as well (K-1001, $9.50 on their website, once again FC only). They won't do TC but you have the OTO for that. For $18.95 you can get the Taylor K-1004 which tests for FC and TC with DPD and also pH and acid demand, which is a pretty useless test. Also DPD bleaches out at high chlorine levels but if you don't mind diluting you can work around that. Taylor also makes an FAD-DPD kit for $22.50 and Ben sells one as well for $18.50 (PS 100r) You can then use the walmart kit for all your other tests.
When you add up the prices and see how litte reagent you get from Lamotte and Taylor Ben's kit looks better and better!

Retired pool store and commercial pool maintenance guy.
What about this one from in the swim-
http://intheswim.com/Pool-Chemicals/...quid-Solution/
It says it tests for "free" chlorine, total chlorine, ph and alk. No idea why the quotation marks, but that should probably concern me...
This would only leave me without a test for CYA, but that is something I just need to test once or so and perhaps can get it done at a pool store fairly accurately, right?
I emailed in the swim to verify the kit did FC, TC, PH and Alk, and why FC was in quotations.
They said it does indeed do all these tests, and they put the quotations there so no one would think free meant no charge
I ordered it. We'll see how it goes...
