Floaters are fine, but kids can dump the tabs into the pool, and damage the liner or bottom.
The Pentair / Rainbow RB-320 works well, but like all tablet feeders is a hazard installed in an enclosed area, due to the fumes released when the feeder is opened. Also, like all inline feeders, it must be installed DOWNSTREAM of heaters or any other pool equipment with metal parts. Common problems with the RB-320 include installing it backwards: the flow is directional, and the unit will not work if reversed.
