Got my new K2006 Test Kit - here is my first reading
I was excited to use my Taylor test kit for the first time. I had been using a 5 way kit previously so it was very similar. Here are my first results:
FC - 6
CC - 0
Ph - 7.8 (maybe borderline 7.9 since it sort of looked to be b/t the 7.8 - 8.0 color)
Alk - 140
CH - 30
CYA - around 60 I think (when they say look until the black dot disappears, I thought that meant completely, not only looking straight down from the top, so I am not quite sure. My last CYA reading from the pool store about 1 week ago was 70 so that is probably pretty accurate)
My pool water is currently very clear and has been for awhile. I am currently using a 50lbs tub of cholorine tablets (see my last post) and so far they seem to not be affecting my other things like Ph or Alk too much. I have an automatic cholorinator that is set on a number 3 for the amount of cholorine.
Just wanted to get some input on if my numbers look good!
