New to the Forum and the BBB method

I have an above ground 30'x48" pool that was installed in August 2013. I used pool chemicals from the pool store last year, but I want to use the BBB methond going forward. I have already uncoverd my pool this year and the water is clear so far. However I do not have a test kit yet, only test strips I had leftover from last year. Strips show high PH and low chlorine. I also have "scale" on the side walls of the pool. I am ordering the K-2006 test kit today from Amazon.

Welcome to the Pool Forum! Good decision to order a K-2006. When you get your kit, run a set of numbers and post them and someone here can advise you. Use a 10mL sample when you test chlorine which will make your testing reagents last longer than if you use the 25mL sample. Also, when you repost, tell us what type and size of pump and filter you have. Hope you enjoy being a part of the forum!
