What do you recommend to clean dirt and blackish marks from outside of the pool.

I used to like to use a diluted bleach solution and a scrub sponge.

I used pool water (a very dilute bleach solution) and cheap white towels from Costco. One big advantage: it's found in abundance near the surfaces that need to be cleaned. I never used anything else in the years we had donut pools.
