    Use a solar cover. It will make a HUGE difference, by insulating and preventing evaporative cooling. Cheapest, fastest way to solve the problem. I'd also recommend a roller for the cover.

    13000 gallon fiberglass, variable speed pump, cartridge filter, chlorine sanitized ,k-2006, also daily 5 item check ( ch, ph,ta,)
    I only trust the k-2006 titration is better for me

    The cover and the reel are separate items. You can use a cover without a real, particularly on an AG that doesn't have a fence or a deck, but it's a pain.

    Personally, I don't like the plastic reels as they don't hold up to the intense heat and cold here. I got only 3 years out of mine. But my metal reel has held up beautifully for many years now.
