ANOTHER New Hip!

Hi everyone. Sitting here in the hospital recovering from hip replacement, this time my right hip to match the left. They did the surgery just two days ago and had me up walking that afternoon!
But it still hurts like hell and puts me out of commission for a few weeks. Still, I am not facing or dealing with all the things that went awry with the left (no political jokes, please! It has to be done, and now it is done. My boys are relieved that Dad is going to be ok....surgery is always painful and risky

I hope to go home this afternoon, and get visiting nurse and pt/ot until I can drive to an out-patient pt group.

Hey, Carl. Glad the surgery went well. Now, on to rehab and getting the strength back. Take care of yourself.

Thanks, Lisa. Visiting nurse is supposed to come tomorrow. Last time, I was in a sub-acute facility for 12 days, but if anyone had bothered to "read the patient" and x-rayed me, I would have been out instantly and back in the hospital. Still, it's going EXTREMELY well and I'm glad to be home.
