Default Advice on Liner Repair for Closed Pool

Last week I noticed water level had dropped in the pool. Upon looking at it, it seems the deep freezing weather followed by very warm weather & more freeze & thaw had kind of pulled the return out of its hole & water was leaking below it. Today, it's warm & ice has melted so we were able to remove & fix the return but just a little below it, there was a rip, probably caused by all of this. It's a V shaped rip & currently below water. I had some patch stuff on hand but it wouldn't stick. Are there any suggestions for good a good patch that would work in really cold water? Just trying to keep it from losing more water & collapsing. Or do we just suck it up & wait until spring?

Try Boxer glue and, if you have it, a hunk of liner as a patch. I like to use a rubber tile roller to even the patch out. With the cold water, I think you'll be lucky to get it to stick. There are also self-adhesive underwater patches that may get you through until spring. I suggest you get a pair of wet suit gloves (stores with hunting and fishing gear sell them for winter anglers) so you can work without freezing your hands too badly.

Thanks Carl. I'll see if I can find the Boxer Glue. I had some other underwater patches but it wouldn't stick. Wet suit gloves are also a good suggestion.
